Graveside services for LaVerne Crow, 89, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20th at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, June 19th at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

She passed away on Sunday, June 11th, in Plano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Bill Crow, and sister, Sybil Mattox.

LaVerne was born on July 12, 1927 in LaFayette, Texas, to the late Obie and Mozelle Williams.

LaVerne was born on July 12, 1927 in LaFayette, Texas, to the late Obie and Mozelle Williams.

She worked as a bank teller for many years at Bank of America. LaVerne was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother. In her free time, she enjoyed reading the bible and also working crossword puzzles. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, baking, and traveling with family.

She is survived by daughter, Jana Coomes; son-in-law, James Coomes; and granddaughter, Hayden Coomes of Plano; brothers, O.W. and Linda Williams; Billy and Kathy Williams; and Bobby and Mary Williams; and sister, Linda and Roy Helpenstill; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
